Pare Corporation, under contract to Calpine Eastern Corporation, was responsible for the geotechnical investigations and preliminary foundation design for a 540-megawatt electric generation plant.  In addition to using clean-burning natural gas, the plant is equipped with the most advanced environmental control technology available, thereby reducing combustion-related emissions.  The project cost more than $200 million to complete and provides substantial power to the northeastern region of the country.  Pare also provided geotechnical consultation during construction.
