As a member of the multidisciplinary development team, Pare provided multiple engineering services for the new Hammetts Wharf Hotel in Newport, RI.  This 47,000-SF, mixed-use boutique hotel includes 84 rooms and a 9,500-SF public deck overlooking Newport Harbor.  Pare’s services included geotechnical engineering, traffic studies, and full site/civil design. Site work included the demolition of a two-story building, upgrades to the utility systems, the conversion of a boat ramp into a stormwater bio-retention facility, improved traffic circulation, onsite parking for 160 vehicles, and new public access along the waterfront. Pare also provided extensive project permitting.
