Pare was the lead design consultant for the Rhode Island Department of  Transportation's Dexter Street project. Improvements included repairs to the roadway's concrete base, roadway resurfacing, upgrades to traffic signal equipment, the installation of bike lanes, new ADA concrete sidewalk wheelchair ramps, decorative crosswalks, and street trees. Dexter Street is a one-mile span of road that serves the central business districts of Pawtucket and Central Falls. The introduction of aesthetically pleasing streetscape elements with multi-modal transportation design will help improve the quality of life within the district and spur economic development.  The project finished ahead of schedule and under budget!
