Pare Corporation was retained by the Bristol County Water Authority to complete a visual inspection of this 320-foot long, 19.5-foot high earthen embankment dam. Various deficiencies were noted at the dam and brought to the attention of the Owner with recommendations for additional studies or repairs.

Pare prepared design and construction documents to address excessive vegetation, seepage, slope stability, spillway channel scour, and to restore operability to the low-level outlet in compliance with Massachusetts Dam Safety and MADEP and ACOE regulations. Although part of the BCWA’s water supply system, the pond is located in Rehoboth, MA.

Pare provided bid phase assistance to secure competitive bids, evaluate those bids and provide award documentation. Pare continued through the construction phase as the construction administrator/owner’s project manager. Upon nearing project completion, Pare provided punch list inspections, assisted the owner in the release of project retainage, and completed a follow-up inspection and review of as-built documentation provided by the contractor.
