Overview

The Town of Bristol owns and operates the Church Street Marina located in Bristol Harbor. The Town retained Pare to design a marina expansion to provide additional resident dockage and to accommodate more visiting boaters, as well as an offsite fueling facility at the State Street Dock.

Evaluations and design included a review of parking needs, recommended repairs for an existing revetment located along the shoreline, and updates to the existing “Manny Sousa Park” to the west of the Maritime Center. The proposed marina expansion will create an additional 83 dedicated boat slips and nearly 300 linear feet of additional dockage. The new docks will be provided with freshwater service, electrical pedestals, and fire suppression. The expansion will also bring the marina into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The fueling facility, currently under construction, includes a 12,000 gallon above-ground storage tank to store both gasoline and diesel. Vessels will dock at the newly constructed floating dock located along the south face of the pier for fueling.

Pare provided assistance for State and Federal permitting and coordinated with both CRMC and USACOE to address shell fishing concerns.
