Pare Corporation was involved in the design of a comprehensive upgrade—including modernization of systems and new space creation—to the existing Westerly High School. The project included the demolition of a one-story vestibule; construction of an approximate 3,500-SF building addition; renovations to the existing steel, brick, masonry, and concrete structure; and replacement and addition of site features such as concrete walks, curbing, and accessibility improvements. The new addition includes science and engineering classroom space along with a revamped entrance to the gymnasium.

Pare provided structural and civil engineering services, including structural assessments of existing support systems, structural design for building modifications, structural framing and foundation design for the new addition, site restoration and plaza renovations, irrigation design, and design of accessible routes.

Pare was also contracted through the construction process, providing services such as submittal review, field inspections, and on-call consultation for issues arising during construction.
