Pare Corporation was a member of the architectural team selected by the Town of Marshfield to design a replacement fire station. An evaluation of the existing station was performed to determine whether renovations and an addition or a completely new building would be the best course of action. The study recommended the demolition of the existing building and construction of a new fire station. The new facility consists of a two-story wood-framed administration building and a single-story steel and masonry emergency vehicle garage.
Pare performed geotechnical investigations and made foundation recommendations for the new structure. Pare also provided design of utility connections and site layout for a mobile home to be used by the fire department as temporary headquarters at a nearby site during construction, as well as geotechnical investigations for a 30’x40′ tent structure to be used as a temporary garage for emergency vehicles.
During construction, Pare provided structural details for the installation of a bracketed tower antenna and provided construction-phase services.
