Overview

In 2017, the State of Massachusetts, through the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM), demolished the Personnel Building at the Lemuel Shattuck Hospital in Jamaica Plain. The project was delivered in two phases: building abatement and demolition, and site restoration. On behalf of the MA Department of Public Health, DCAMM requested that site restoration include site accessibility improvements and supplemental parking.

Pare prepared plans for site improvements including expansion of the existing parking lot, site lighting and security improvements, upgraded ADA accessibility to the active hospital, a new guard shack at the facility entrance, and stormwater management improvements.

The project also included construction administration services comprised of running weekly coordination meetings, approving shop drawings, review and response to RFI’s, and review of the contractors pay requisitions. Construction was completed in June 2019.
