Overview

Pare Corporation was retained by Dore & Whittier Architects to prepare and permit site design and
construction documents for the new public safety complex at 114 North Street in Medfield, MA. The project included the construction of a new two-story, 35,000-SF building on a three-acre parcel previously occupied by the old Medfield Fire and Police Station building. The project also included the construction of a new parking lot on a nearby property to support overflow parking for the adjacent school.

Pare provided site/civil engineering services which included site layout, grading, utilities, and a stormwater management system. Pare coordinated with the Town and the design team to create a stormwater infiltration system that worked with the proposed site layout and provided the appropriate groundwater recharge. The design was ultimately driven to infiltrate stormwater via a subsurface system.

Pare also performed a Traffic Impact Analysis, submitted all permit applications, and provided a Long-Term Pollution Prevention Plan for maintaining the site.
