Overview

Pare, under a High Hazard Interstate Ramps and Intersections Contract with the Rhode Island Department of Transportation, analyzed, recommended, and developed design improvements to approximately 75 ramps and intersections located in multiple cities and towns across Rhode Island, primarily on Interstates 95 and 295.

Based on our recommendations, RIDOT authorized Pare to prepare design plans and contract documents for construction of Traffic Safety Improvements to five signalized intersections on Plainfield Pike (Route 14) in Johnston and Cranston, adjacent to Interstate I-295. The scope of the design improvements included traffic signal equipment upgrades, installation of fiber optic cable for interconnection, installation of a new signalized intersections, new concrete sidewalk for ADA compliance, and signage and striping upgrades.
