Overview

Pare Corporation, in conjunction with Traverse Landscape Architects, was retained to design the redevelopment of the Ferguson Field athletic complex at Lincoln High School. The existing athletic facilities were stressed from overuse, were beyond their life expectancy, and didn’t meet current athletic or accessibility standards.

The design team worked closely with the users through workshops and public meetings to achieve a redevelopment that met the Town’s expectations and goals, based on current and proposed uses for the complex. The results included upgrading the size and surfacing of the athletic track (which was not compliant in grade or size), replacement of natural turf with a multi-use synthetic turf system, stormwater management improvements, and utility upgrades. Pare designed the drainage and soil base materials to provide a sustainable and regulatory-compliant stormwater management system under the field. Our comprehensive evaluation and design allowed much of the existing systems to remain without significant modification or cost.

Construction on the new facility began in the spring of 2015 and the ribbon cutting took place on September 8, 2015. Pare provided construction administration services throughout.
